During the spring of 2011, the idea of “The H&T” was born into the hearts of 7 individuals. 7 individuals with vast differences became unified by a burning passion for music, the arts, and expressing themselves. During this very spring, “Heroes & Terrorists” (The H&T) was formed. The H&T is an up and coming Pittsburgh based group comprised of seven artists. Six who were born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (Alumni, Swagga, Kai Roberts, B Stratosphere, Luxo, and Buttonsz) and one from Prince George County, MD (Kyra). The H&T gained local acclaim during the summer of 2011 with the release of their debut single “Might Be.” The single was so well received that it lead to a string of show as well as features on some of Pittsburgh most respected blogsites. With numerous releases from “The H&T” roster throughout the month of June, Reppghhiphop.com and JenesisMagazine.com voted the group Top 3 Popular Demand for the month. With a burst onto the local scene, the H&T had begun to capture the hearts of music lovers for their charisma, originality, and creativity in their music. On November 19th, 2011, the H&T released their first group project entitled “The Epic Project,” to national recognition being featured on Datpiff’s Today’s Top 8 for its first 48 hours. Within 48 hours, “The Epic Project” had tallied up over 1000 views, over 500 streams, and 100 download, being pushed solely by 7 dedicated artists. As the new year approaches, The H&T is planning the release of 3 official music videos, a new EP, as well as a movement which we believe has the potential to change the paradigm of music lovers everywhere. Other notable H&T Projects include producing a recording a theme song for a Static Shock Fan Film, the theme song for 88.3 WRCT’s Lockdown Radio, and involvement with local fashion designers in launching our own clothing. Although the summer and fall’s advances were a big stepping stone in the groups road to acclaim, The H&T, packing a talented roster of artists, a brand new sound, and the mentality of a label, are making the correct moves to leave their mark on the music industry and the world.
